COVID-19 Update for Visitors

Effective March 9th all LTC homes will move to Open Family Presence unless otherwise directed an MHO. Open Family Presence means:

 

  • Family and visitors are welcome according to the preferences of the resident
  • No limits on the number of family/visitors per resident
  • No limit on the amount of family/visitors present at a time indoors or outdoors
  • Large groups can be accommodated by scheduling a time and space
  • Outings/off-site activities are allowed
  • Children supervised by an adult are welcome

 

Some additional reminders:

 

  • Upon entry, all family/visitors will self-screen using the COVID-19 Screening Questions and complete the visitor log including date, name, resident, contact phone number and time in and out
  • Family/visitors must wear a medical grade mask at all times while in the home except when in the resident’s room

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Looking for an opportunity to give back to your community?

The Lumsden & District Heritage Home welcomes all volunteers. Whether you can give your time and talents on a regular basis or just want to commit the odd time, every effort improves the quality of life for the thirty full-time residents of the Home.

Volunteer opportunities can include music, painting, crafts, reading, pet therapy and outings.
